Here I am, Send Me

Hello Friends! Christy Moore here. As most of you know, I am a missionary in the Czech Republic through RCE International.  I am here with 4 of my 6 children and am currently serving at CISP (Christian International School of Prague). I am also in discussions  with Flourishing Future, a ministry in Mongolia, regarding their

summer camp outreach for city children.

Would you partner with me?

The Lord initially brought me here as self-funded.

However, this coming year, He is calling me to be in missions

full time.

So I am now fully support based and need more financial partners for year two!

Current Need

Looking for partners willing

to give monthly.

No amount is too small for the Kingdom!

I appreciate each and every one of you.

CISP

Christian International School of Prague

2019 -2020

In July of 2019, I moved to Prague to serve at CISP as the Knight School Coordinator.

GOAL: build relationships that will create opportunities to share the gospel.

HOW: provided classes and activities of interest which will increased school engagement with parents and other adults in the community.

Specifically, I was able to do this through:

    • English Conversation Club

    • Adult English Classes

    • Time management seminar

    • Local hospital tour

    • Czech language class with a Christian national teacher

Typically in the English Club and Classes, there was a very diverse mix of nationalities; to include those from the Czech Republic, Poland, Russia, Korea, and Israel. We shared genuine interest and respect for each other. As such, we were able to share some fairly personal aspects of our lives and how we deal with them; culturally and spiritually. The gospel was shared and the Spirit was moved.

I thoroughly enjoyed working with parents and adults through Knight School.

However, in the coming school year, there are several imperative staffing needs; elementary teachers being one of them. (If you know of someone ready to serve overseas, let me know!)

Therefore, this coming school year, I will be teaching the 4th-grade class! God once again surprised me and I am excited to have my youngest son in the class with me as well.

I love the freedom to talk about Jesus and the ability to integrate Christ in the classroom. This is an incredible opportunity to speak the gospel into the lives of the next generation that represent a variety of different religious backgrounds. While the school was initially created to meet the needs of missionary families, now it largely serves as an outreach.

70% of enrolled students come from non-Christian families. The primary attraction for them is that CISP provides a solid, American style, English based education at an affordable price. The fact that it is Christian based is inconsequential to them. We, however, know the great influence of seeds planted at an early age.

The video below gives wonderful insight as to how and why God is moving at CISP.

Regardless of religious affiliation, people love CISP

Prague

Least Religious City in Europe?

Prague is known to be one of the most beautiful and beloved cities in Europe.

In the 15th century, it was home to Jan Huss; a church reformer and predecessor to the Protestant Reformation.

While his followers, the Hussite’s, embraced the reformation, subsequent wars and later communist rule, left the country wary of espousing religious doctrine. As such, the country is known as one of the least religious in the world, with a Protestant population around 2%.

In spite of that, Czech people are thought to be very tolerant, and even indifferent, towards religion.

Culturally, they tend to be standoffish, but are generally helpful and open to conversation

A families religious indifference enables them to be open to having their children come to CISP.

They know CISP is a Christian school, but their primary desire is for their children to be educated in an American English School.

Additionally, since teachers, and the majority of the staff, are missionaries, and thus raise their own support, the school is able to keep tuition low. This is another enticing factor that draws families to CISP.

70% of the families enrolled at CISP are not Christians.

My goal is to show them the love of Christ and be alert to opportunities to share the gospel. Wont you partner with me and help make a difference here?

What an open door to talk about Jesus and the ability to integrate Christ in the classroom.
